La Primitiva is drawn from a ball machine.
These five lines were drawn when the page was built, uniformly at random. They are not predictions, they are not luckier than any others, and refreshing gives you five different lines with exactly the same chance — 1 in 139,838,160 for the jackpot.
How these numbers are picked
Uniformly at random, from crypto.getRandomValues — the browser's
cryptographically secure source, not Math.random — with the matrix read
from our game registry so the pools are always the ones in force today. There is no
weighting towards numbers that are "hot", "cold" or "due", because no such thing exists
in a fair draw.
The numbers are drawn with rejection sampling rather than a modulo, which is the detail almost every implementation gets wrong, and that is tested rather than asserted.
We draw 6 from 49, then 1 Complementario and 1 Reintegro from the same machine, which is why they can never repeat a main number.
Does picking your own numbers help?
Not for your chance of winning — that is fixed by the matrix at 1 in 139,838,160 however you choose. It can change what you win. Thousands of players use birthdays, so lines made entirely of numbers from 1 to 31 are picked far more often than the rest. A winning line above 31 is shared with fewer people.
That is the only honest edge anyone can offer, and it is about the size of the prize, never the chance of it.

Before you decide it matters which numbers you pick
- The birthday problem — the one honest edge, worked through, including what our own archive cannot show about it.
- How many lines should you play? — a second line does double your chance, and the doubled figure is still roughly zero.
- Why hot and cold numbers do not work — the gap between the most and least drawn number is real, and exactly what chance produces.
- Consecutive numbers and other patterns — the shape people avoid most turns up in about half of all draws.
